BREMER BAY WEEK 2

Lots of action this week in Bremer - fishing, boating up the river and all day spent at the local beaches!

I was having a successful fish with my new pink "lucky rod" and I went to grab my camera, while doing this Stu thought he would try his luck fishing, he actually doesnt fish all that much so when he caught a fish as soon as the hook hit the water you can imagine the celebrations!!

 


Obsty on the other hand..... our kids call him "The King of the Fishermen", they say we never catch any fish unless Obsty is with us (sadly its true) - needless to say we had a yummy dinner that night!

THE BREMER RIVER

I think this was my favorite day of our holiday, we went out in the boat and it was so windy when we left that we nearly changed our mind, then we got up the river a bit and it was so beautiful, no wind and so calm, the scenery is just amazing - we stopped at the "secret" fishing spot and then just cruised a bit more, here are some pics.

These pelicans were so lovely, they travelled in this big pack and would all duck their heads under the water at the same time - a bit like synchronised swimming!

The Captain

This year the Bremer river broke through to the ocean - made it a bit restrictive for the 4WD's to get up the main beach but great for the kids to swim in!

Every year I try and get a "nice" family photo, this year the kids being a bit older they will no longer do what they are told!  So... therefore the family photo was a bit of a disaster - Morris is looking extra special and Ruby would not turn her head no matter how many bribes!  Oh well - there is always next year!

HONOURABLE MENTION

The best home made shelter on the beach at any one time!!

Another year another holiday - back home getting ready for the kids to go back to school, no more kids at home for me which makes me a bit sad. But off to work I go and a chance to take more holidays!!
